Crown Molding
From basic to complex, we will construct custom crown molding to meet your needs. It is the little details in buildings and houses such as finish work, that truly bring the living space together. Wed like to break down the different types of trim and molding projects that we can accomplish. There are many types of moldings and trim that our contractors can achieve. CROWN MOLDING goes around the ceiling and is also decorative and tends to run on an angle around the ceilings. Another type of molding is cornices, which is actually a section of crown molding that goes across the top to bring the design together.

Coffered Ceiling
The place to show off the most workmanship is in the ceiling. We enjoy the challenge of creating new and innovative designs for each customer. A coffered ceiling is created with coffered panels or “coffers.” Coffers are sunken panels attached to a suspended (drop) grid to create a new ceiling with depth and architectural interest. … Deep coffers add visual weight to a room, while shallow coffers create a lighter feel.

The Guide To Wainscoting
There are very few trim carpentry projects that add such elegance to a room or hallway the way wainscoting can. Wainscoting adds charm to even the smallest homes that they become irresistible to home buyers. Wainscoting panels can encompass the lower 1/2 or 1/3 of a room.

What is Wainscoting?

Wainscoting is wooden paneling going around the walls of a room. Lets take a look at the different styles of wainscoting.

Types of Wainscoting

Lets discuss style! There are many styles to choose from. Most people think of wainscoting as paneling, usually about a quarter or midway up the wall, and usually white. There are many different looks of wainscoting and colors that can be used to create an amazing wow factor in any room. It can be vertical, horizontal, tall, short or be an accented wall covered in shiplap with a separation being a paint color. Shiplap can create the illusion that a space is much larger than it really is. The vertical lines in the shiplap can make the ceilings appear higher. Choosing a color can add softness and tie the room together.

Beadboard can be a style of wainscoting but can also be used in other ways especially as ceiling material on ceilings.

Shiplap Wainscoting can give your home character. By adding a different texture to your wall you are adding a point of interest, and giving the eye something else to look at other than a plain wall. Shiplap can create the illusion that a space is much larger than it really is. The vertical lines in the shiplap can make the ceilings appear higher. Choosing a color can add softness and tie the room together. Having shiplat in the entry and going up the stairs can make a space feel larger and more welcoming. Shiplap that runs horizontally , parallel to the stairs can give the room direction. Most shiplap ends midway up the wall, until a point in the stairs where it becomes shorter.

Board and Batten is a small strip of wood about 2 to 3 inches wide called a “batten” that would be nailed over athe crack or seam of an old home to keep it weather tight. Fast forward to today and you”ll see it just about everywhere. The vertical element of board and batten gives homes added texture. Board and Batten can be used to accent an entire wall, create detail on a bedroom wall or in your entryway.
