“We have experienced 3 acceptable renovations, with 3 different contractors, in our previous home. But, this time, we found a “GEM”, in Coastal Construction and Coastal Custom Painting. Our new home needed a great deal of work, and Kris and Eduardo handled all of it, in an efficient, well-organized manner. “I recently sold my iconic Lewes, DE home. During the process, the home inspector brought to light a leak problem that we were unaware of. Not wanting to jeopardize the sale of the property I contacted Kris Groszer at Coastal Consstruction to handle the problem. Kris’ inspection revealed that when the house was built the roofer did not install the proper flashing on parts of the roof. This allowed the water to seep behind the stone facing causing the wood beneath to rot. As Kris and company began removing the dry wall we could see that the damage was pervasive.

I made clear to Kris that it was supremely important that this job must look as though it was never done to minimize the impact on the new owners. Not only did Kris’s crew remove the rotten drywall, studs, stone face and Dryvit, they completely restored the front of the house to where even I could not tell what work had been done. Inside the house, the paint, carpentry and textured wall paper matched beautifully.

My father and I tried to oversee the work as a precaution and were very pleased with the way that Kris and his crew included us in every step of the process. Once the repairs were finished, they removed all traces that they had been there and the job was completed on time.

In the end, the house looked great! The quality of work and the 1 year guarantee that Kris provided gave me confidence in turning the property over to the new owners.
